Playing Guidelines

If you are not playing golf to its rules, you are not playing golf!

Les Mielles Ladies Golf Club (LMLGC) is an independent Ladies Golf Club, under the control of an elected Committee of Lady Members. LMLGC’s administration is completely separate from Les Mielles Golf & Country Club (LMG&CC) and the Les Mielles Gent’s Club (LMGC). However, in order to play in LMLGC competitions, ladies must first join and be accepted as a LMG&CC member.

The purpose of these guidelines are for the benefit of new club members and for long-standing club members who want to refresh their memories on playing competition golf. The notes are not exhaustive and reference should always be made to the local rules on the scorecard which LMLGC has adopted, the official rules of golf as laid down by the R&A (copies of which are freely available) as well as the publication ‘Decisions on the Rules of Golf’.  If doubt on a particular issue continues to exist, written question(s) should be submitted to the LMLGC Committee to make a decision and, if necessary, seek a judgement from the R&A. Any matters relating to the course should also be directed to the LMLGC Committee or LMG&CC Course Management, not LMG&CC green keeping or reception staff.
